G2 Solutions is all about helping people thrive. This week we were all reminded how quickly our lives can turn from thriving to surviving by the series of wildfires in California.
In all natural disasters, it is hard to wrap your head around how people cope. When it strikes close to home it feels surreal. Susan was born, raised and spent the majority of her adult life in California. In talking to family and friends the magnitude of the event is hard to take in. The destruction is unprecedented, but the generosity of the community has also been front and center. Sure, there have been some bad actors looting already devastated homes and businesses. But Susan’s family and friends have been very proud of how the community has come together to support those fighting the fire and its victims. Some organizations have even stopped taking physical donations because the response has been so tremendous.
The generosity of the human spirit can truly be amazing.
The need for those in California will be ongoing for years to come. As the rebuilding process begins different issues will emerge and different types of support will be needed.
One of the wonderful things about our connected world is that people both near and far can provide much needed resources.
